MF Doom like! Pretty damn enjoyable. Just d/led this to see what it sounds like in my car.

buyj3llo responds:

Aw man, you just made my day. I thought this track had gotten completely glossed over; which is a shame because I thought it was pretty okay. I'm really glad someone liked it.

Brilliant use of sounds. Reminds me of Amon Tobin quite a bit. Also love the sub bass line. Do you crush your sounds using plugins? Sounds wicked.

buyj3llo responds:

I have a bit crusher on the main bass kick. And I think there may be a secondary bit crusher that pops in on the others sounds throughout the song. I forgot how many treatments I put on each individual sound.

Thanks for comparing it to Amon Tobin, that's a pretty high complement.

Bass....

Nice lo-fi wobble! That is all. Excellent.

GranPian responds:

Lo-fi anything is the best

I suppose this could be a genre. Definitely not Modern Hip Hop. Other than extremely plastic and cheese sounding synths, I am now in a state of confusion from listening to this. If that was the effect you wanted, then it works. Haha.

Tarteviant responds:

Well, as for me and my music, I really don't like to put it in any specific category at all because its really barrier crossing and non-definitive. The intention of this project was a simple freestyle interlude track so it doesn't have any structure.

But thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it lol no apologies :/

Could you kick up the 43e3d3?

Just needs some Flarhgunnstow. Haha, all T&E and Paul Rudd aside, for just getting into music, this is a hell of a lot better than a lot of the D&B submissions that come through here on NG.com. at 0:55, your sub-bass comes in. Normally it's ok for it to rip through the air, yours just needs some more high end EQ values to make it sound truly capable of melting faces. If you want my input on a great Plugin for FLStudio to suit your DnB or breaks style music, send me a message and I will get you the information for it. Hope this helps! And remember, you can't see NUDE tayne. You'll explode.

buyj3llo responds:

thankyou thankyou.
I was worried about giving the bass to much presence because it's so simplistic (it's literally just one note repeated over and over), but you're right. What is a drum and bass song without the bass? I'll try to keep that in mind next time around.

Also, I went to your page to review some of your songs, but it was empty! Come on dude, you should upload some songs. I would like to hear some of your stuff.

Hey, this is enjoyable. A bit cheesy. But that kind of makes it what it is. I cannot complain. 9/10 for the chorus. 5/5.

frootza responds:

Thanks for the review--I thought everyone knew that was the sound I was going for. This is really old though, but who knows. Thanks again.

Good Submission

Love the intro. Great chords. Especially for the genre. The fade in, and drop of the main beat is classic. 8/10 only because I wish the introductory chords were a bit more accentuated. Otherwise, download worthy! Please extend this. :) Keep it up.

Yodamanjaro responds:

Yeah...those are 7th chords (so they will naturally sound more accentuated). I doubt I'll extend it, but if I do I'll be sure to AIM it to you...NG isn't worth putting anything decent on. (It will never get appreciated.)

Thanks for the review dude!

Agreed.

buyj3llo hit the nail on the head. :( This has potential. Seriously. Just ditch the synth or get it on key. Otherwise great. 5/10 because of that bastard synth. Haha..

typeMARS responds:

agh! problem! thx for that! :D

First and foremost, this is a project of short musical ideas. I make short, catchy music bleeps and boops. I hope you enjoy them. Contact me if you would like something created.
